Detroit native Monique Bounds is the founder of Unique Monique Scented Candles LLC, and a single mother of two who dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur was inspired by her mother who struggled to make ends meet to provide for Monique, and her two younger siblings.

Monique discovered her talent for crafting candles during a particularly difficult period in her life when stress, anxiety, and insomnia were taking a heavy toll on her health forcing her to work part time.

Experimenting with different wax and oil combinations led to some surprising breakthroughs as certain blends helped alleviate her symptoms. She also discovered by making toxic free natural ingredient aromatherapy, and Fragrant scented candles would contribute to our health, and Wellness eco.system.

Encouraged by friends and family who loved her creations, Monique launched Unique Monique Scented Candles LLC in 2021., which quickly gained popularity due its unique approach towards providing relaxation through scent therapy
