“Created By Crosby was created by grapic artist , illustrator, and Musican Darryl Crosby. Crosby early beginnings was drawing comic books as a child which lead to Crosby studying grapic design as an adult. Crosby then begain designing book designs, developing websites, creating logos. Currently Crosby is a book designer for the Kent University Press.”

“Then in 2011 something amazing happened Crosby became a father. Crosby always wanted to create children’s stories, and illustrations, now more then ever he wanted to recreate the experience he had of reading stories with his mother that taught life lessons. It was very important to Crosby to share that with his daughter while she was young. Crosby understood the power of words, and imagery he wanted the characters to be culturally relevant, educational, and for African American Youths to be able could relate to “Created by Crosby was born!”

Kinara’s kids- Everyday Heroes is a series of illustrations, and stories that represent the 7 principles of Nguzo Saba the basis of Kwanza is a Swahili word means “first” and represents the first fruits of the harvest is an African American celebration of life from December 26 to January 1 created by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966. Each character has a story of hope, knowledge, and empowerment. Illustrations are available on activity cards with a checklist to check your kids knowledge. Mugs and bags are also available. I personally was born on Principle “Kuji” which is self -determinnation which reflects my whole life. Ever since I been following Crosby I loved each one of his real life like characters, and the principles we need to live by in the African American community.
